What You'll Do

As a Manager of our Non-Qualified (NQ) Onboarding team, you'll lead and mentor a team of Client Onboarding Specialists and Transfer Coordinators, as well as collaborate with other NQ partners to develop a world class onboarding experience for clients, financial professionals, and employees.

We are looking for a strong people leader with the ability to lead through change. This leader will be responsible for coaching and developing talent while promoting a strong team culture that inspires trust and respect.

Additionally, the pace at which this business has grown is exciting, but also comes with a sense of urgency to evolve our business model, driving efficiency and scalability, while also ensuring quality customer service and mitigating risk.

Additional responsibilities :

  • Develop relationships with multiple internal and external partners to ensure the onboarding of new clients and plans is done accurately, efficiently, and client service standards are met.
  • Motivate, develop, and coach staff to meet goals and encourage ownership, accountability, innovation, and decision-making to deliver results.
  • Assist in identifying, setting, and achieving metrics around efficiency, execution, staffing, documentation of processes and other operational needs.
  • Resolve, own, and execute on escalated situations or issues of a critical and sensitive nature. Take part in negotiations with all parties to commit to an agreed upon solution and timing.
  • Identify opportunities and execute on the implementation of Robotic Process Automation, as well as participate in other initiatives to advance the use of technology, such as the development of our new workflow system for the onboarding team.
  • Implement solutions to improve efficiency and results.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required, plus 5+ years related work experience required. (NQ experience preferred.)
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, operational, training, communication, organization, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Experience leading operations / processing teams preferred.
  • General Securities and General Securities Principal registration may be required at a later date.
  • Knowledge of retirement industry and company products preferred.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
  • Infrequent overnight travel is required.

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program.

Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.

Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$77350 - $158400 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Job Level

We're willing to hire in at the Sr Manager-Client Services level with the right skills and experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 10+ years of job-related experience (with 5 years of NQ retirement experience) preferred.
  • General Securities and General Securities Principal registration may be required at a later date.

Work Environment

This role offers in-office, hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek), and remote work arrangements (only if residing more than 30 miles from Des Moines, IA, or Charlotte, NC).

You'll work with your leader to figure out which option may align best based on several factors.
