Seeking Registered Dental Hygienist in Chicago, IL! (60660)
Tapestry 360 Health, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team.
This position plays a critical role in providing high-quality oral health care and education to a diverse patient population.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to promoting preventive care and contributing to the overall mission of increasing access to healthcare in underserved communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Patient Care :
Provide comprehensive periodontal therapy and preventative care such as dental cleanings, scaling and root planings, debridements, fluoride application, sealants, and other preventive treatments.
Examinations :
Conduct routine oral health exams, screening for diseases like gingivitis and oral cancer.
Radiographs :
Take dental radiographs (x-rays) as needed for diagnostic purposes.
Patient Education :
Provide patients with guidance on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Record Keeping :
Accurately document patient care, clinical findings, and treatment plans in accordance with HIPAA and clinic protocols.
Collaboration :
Work closely with dentists and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Compliance :
Adhere to state and clinic regulations, including infection control standards, while ensuring patient safety.
Qualifications :
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.
Certification :
- Required : Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Required : Current and valid Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in the state of Illinois.
- Preferred : Public Health Dental Hygienist (PHDH) certification. Candidates who do not hold the PHDH certification must have a strong desire to pursue it.
- Support : Tapestry 360 Health is committed to supporting RDH-certified employees in obtaining PHDH certification, including providing financial and educational assistance.
Salary & Benefits :
- Compensation : The annual salary range for this position is $75,000 to $87,000, based on experience and qualifications.
