Sr. Data Scientist

In this role you will take ownership for scaling data science initiatives focused on behavior analytics to empower our associates and provide a personalized service experience to our clients.

Your impact will grow as you bring these solutions to life across multiple businesses. This role will also be responsible to support a variety of analytics projects leveraging your skills in NLP, GenAI, ML, Python, SQL, and Tableau.

No two days are the same. You'll collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders to identify, design, develop and implement embedded analytics solutions.

You'll lead the design and implementation of data-driven solutions to address business problems. Develop and deploy machine learning models to improve business processes and outcomes.

Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and machine learning.

To thrive in this role, you will be enthusiastic about the potential of GenAI / LLMs and have expertise from direct experience and / or training.

You will have exceptional language skills for prompt engineering but thrive working through technical issues with data other scientists and engineers.

You will have broad responsibility for all aspects of program success including troubleshooting issues, testing, quality control and overcoming production roadblocks.

While you will have support across our Analytics team, you will be ultimately responsible for delivering successful end results.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

On a typical day in the life of a Senior Data Scientist at ADP :

• NPL / GenAI Engineering . You bring training / experience in NLP / GenAI to extract information from unstructured data and produce actionable insights.
• Advanced Analytics. You have experience working closely with business stakeholders to understand needs and define analytic requirements.

You have experience extracting and analyzing data (using Python and / or SQL) and can communicate insights back to the business through both presentations and visualizations (Tableau).

Continuous Learning. You enjoy discovering new techniques in Data Science / ML / GenAI and bring learnings back to inspire innovation and help the team overcome roadblocks.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE :

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, ML / AI, Computer Science, Linguistics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or combination of relevant coursework or a related field with 4-5 years of experience in data science, or master's degree in a related field with 2-3 years of experience in data science.
• What's more important is having the skills and experience to do the job. To be successful in this role, you'll have 2-5 years of experience in the same or similar role.
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages.
• Proficiency in data manipulation and analysis using SQL and other tools (Databricks, AWS).
• Experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, PyTorch).
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and data modeling techniques.
• Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI).
• Proven experience in crafting, testing and deploying ML / GenAI projects in Python with keen focus on eliciting optimal outputs.
• Experience working directly with business stakeholders to understand needs and translate into data science requirements, techniques, and solutions.
• Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Solid understanding of natural language processing concepts a plus.
