The Behavioral Classroom Aide provides behavioral support services in the school setting.Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Provides personal care and behavioral assistance / interventions to assigned student(s).
Assisting students with : Class room activitiesGroomingEating / Meal preparationToiletingAssisting with ambulation and transfer servicesManagement of assault / difficult behaviorCrisis InterventionEncouraging IndependenceMaintaining student safetyImplementation of behavioral plansChanges in assignment due to client request must be verifiedBehavioral Aide is to confirm schedule weekly with Amergis office staff.
Documents care per Amergis policies and proceduresCommunication notes or incident logs are filled out and turned in on a timely basis when necessary.
Other duties as assignedMinimum Requirements : High School diploma or its equivalent.Associates degree in behavioral studies or related field, or equivalent experience preferred.
