Position Overview : The Electrical Estimator is responsible for preparing and evaluating all technical and economic aspects of large-scale electrical construction projects.
This involves the review of drawings and specifications, estimate labor and material costs, and prepare a complete proposal to the client.
Key Responsibilities :
- Analyzing plans and electrical specifications to accurately prepare cost estimates.
- Calculating labor and material costs based on current market rates.
- Assessing and evaluating all potential risks associated with the project.
- Developing detailed proposals that include project scope, cost estimates, and financial terms.
- Negotiating with clients and vendors to secure the best prices possible.
- Monitoring project progress and addressing any changes to the project's scope.
- Providing technical advice and support to other team members.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in electrical estimating.
- Excellent understanding of electrical construction codes and regulations.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in the use of computers and estimating software.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
