Data Center Maintenance Technician
Job Description :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Critical Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of critical facility systems within the assigned data center, including HVAC, electrical, and life safety systems.
This involves physically performing preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective work, and immediate response to emergency issues, while overseeing vendor work as required.
Key Responsibilities :
- UPS Equipment Monitoring :
- Regularly monitor UPS equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Identify potential issues during rounds and readings, but do not perform any repairs (vendor responsibility).
- Preventive Maintenance (PM) :
- Weekly :
- Perform preventive maintenance on pumps.
- Conduct PMs on VAV fan-powered boxes, exhaust fans, pumps, etc.
- Carry out PMs on CRAH units.
- Monthly :
- Conduct life safety inspections.
- Perform generator tests (coordinate repairs with vendors).
- Facility Maintenance :
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the facility.
- Perform routine painting and other general maintenance tasks as needed.
Must Haves :
- 4 years minimum of critical facilities maintenance experience commercial
- Industrial HVAC knowledge with a focus on chill water systems
- Strong troubleshooting background ability to identify and troubleshoot issues effectively
- Ability to use own vehicle to travel between sites in Raleigh for the duration of the contract.
