Summary
The commissary worker is responsible for the preparation and production of Duchess proprietary food items, to be delivered by a third-party contractor to our Duchess stores.
A commitment to food safety, following recipes, and speed are paramount.
This is predominantly a Sunday through Thursday, first shift position but can vary depending on business needs.
Essential Job Functions :
- Responsible for preparing various food prep products.
- Operating a variety of kitchen utensils and / or equipment for weighing, measuring, mixing, etc.
- Follow recipes and / or product directions for proper food preparation.
- Prep foods using the proper method of peeling, cutting, slicing, straining, stirring, or kneading.
- Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed, including wrapping, labeling, dating, and stock rotation along with checking the temperature of products.
- Receive food and beverage product supplies and stock areas as needed.
- Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or cart.
- Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.
- Assist with a variety of kitchen-related functions as needed.
- Other duties as needed and required by Management.

- Dependability : Is punctual. Can be relied upon to be at work according to schedule. Complies with policies regarding clocking in / out and use of breaks.
Communicates schedule changes to appropriate supervisors.
- Uniform / Personal Appearance : Always dressed in complete uniform and presents a well-groomed appearance.
- Commitment : Shows initiative and follows through with tasks.
- Must be able to bend, twist, and stand for extended periods to perform job functions.
- Must have the ability to lift and push objects weighing over 40 lbs.
- Report any safety hazards to management immediately.
