WHAT TO EXPECT

Located in our downtown Denver office, you will work on product development projects where you will be responsible for defining, planning, and managing the complete project life cycle from design verification through process validation and launch.
- In this position you will be working within Gates Carbon Drive (https : / / www.gatescarbondrive.com / ) who specializes in working with bikes, e-scooters, fitness equipment, and motorcycles!
- You will coordinate task execution with Commercial, Marketing, Product Engineering, Procurement, and Supply Chain on global projects spanning North America, Europe, India, and SE Asia.
- This position will report to the Program Manager.
Key responsibilities (to name a few) :
- Project Initiation and Planning :
- Conduct requirement gathering activities and sponsor interviews
- Develop detailed project scope documentation
- Conduct WBS exercises with team leaders
- Create detailed project schedules and critical milestones
- Build overall project budget
- Establish project baseline and project KPIs
- Perform risk mitigation planning
- Project Execution Management :
- Execute projects according to plan
- Lead issue resolution activities
- Conduct regular project team reviews
- Track project spend and manage project resources
- Keep project plans up-to-date
- Escalate resource issues to senior leadership
- Conduct Design and Phase-Gate Approval reviews
- Initiate project change requests
- Conduct gate reviews with key stakeholders and functional managers
ABOUT YOU
- Bachelors' degree or above
- 5-7 years of PM experience using formal project management processes
- Familiar with PPM software
- Flexible and adaptable, preference for initiative and leadership
- Effective communicator and integrator
- Well organized and disciplined
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects
- A generalist rather than a technical specialist
- Able to identify problems and to make decisions
- Ability to translate business requirements into project requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred :
- Knowledge within science and / or engineering
- Background in Engineering / technical / supply chain / quality
- Global experience
