- High School diploma.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as a team player with students and staff.
- Ability to work with and motivate students.
- Familiarity with district student right and responsibilities.
- Knowledge of child development.
- Prior experience with behavior management in a school setting.
- An ability to hold high expectations while maintaining a student centered approach.
- A commitment to equitable educational outcomes for all students.
- Values a team-based, problem-solving, solution-oriented, skills-building process.
- A high degree of patience and flexibility.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Positive behavior interventions with identified students.
- Assist licensed staff with crisis intervention as directed.
- Background or experience in working with students on conflict resolution.
- Ability to relate well to students, staff and parents.
- Monitor / manage students needing behavior support.
- Confidentiality and respectful rapport with parents and staff
- Record keeping of student behaviors.
- Be fair and consistent in following district discipline policy and student behavior plans.
- Support building / campus security.
- Other duties as assigned by principal.
