Rouge Mocap is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Game CG Supervisor to join our team! This individual should be a strong leader, an excellent communicator, and possess a keen eye for aesthetics.
You will mentor and train junior CG artists while overseeing both real-time and rendered cinematics for high-profile AAA video games.
This is an on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage Unreal Generalist, 3D Generalist, VFX Artist, and Lighting Artist teams, ensuring cohesive collaboration across departments.
- Provide technical and artistic leadership, guiding the production of high-quality game cinematics while ensuring alignment with the overall creative vision.
- Collaborate with the Cinematic Directors, Producers, and clients to assess technical options, define creative approaches, and determine deadlines for deliverables.
- Review and optimize asset pipelines, workflows, and performance for real-time production, troubleshooting technical challenges as they arise.
- Drive continuous improvement by researching and implementing the latest tools and techniques in real-time rendering and cinematic production.
- Conduct creative reviews and quality control checks to ensure all deliverables meet artistic and technical standards.
- Facilitate effective communication within the team and foster a positive team environment that promotes morale and collaboration.
Requirements :
- 7+ years of experience in CG production, with experience creating real-time in-engine game cinematics.
- Proven leadership experience, managing cross-disciplinary teams in a production environment.
- Proficiency with Unreal Engine 5, including Niagara, Lumen, Houdini, Maya, and optimization techniques, along with knowledge of additional software such as Nuke.
- A strong understanding of 3D production processes, including modeling, rigging, texturing, look development, lighting, and FX.
- A keen eye for aesthetics, with the ability to provide artistic and technical feedback.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with an appreciation for the value of strong team dynamics.
Salary : $170,000 - $200,000 / year. Onsite. Full time. Range depends on experience, education, and qualifications.
