Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting

Location : Morris County

Salary : $95K to $110K (DOE) plus bonus

Benefits : Excellent benefits including generous PTO

Our client is seeking a hands on Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting responsible for both Technical Accounting & SEC reporting of complex accounting matters.

3-6 years of work experience with a combination of both public accounting and public company experience desired.

What will be expected of you as Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting?

• Provide technical reporting and accounting assistance in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Manage the preparation of quarterly and annual SEC filings (10-Q and10-K forms)
• Master complex technical accounting issues
• Participate in the integration of acquisitions and divestitures
• Create and update data queries / templates
• Assist with the annual audit process
• Develop and mentor staff, and perform annual reviews
• On a recurring basis, participate in continuing education classes to keep financial reporting skills current and master online tools
• Manage special projects as need

What qualifies you for this Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting position?

• Bachelors’ degree in accounting
• 3 - 6 years of experience
• Some public accounting experience and CPA preferred
• SEC financial reporting experience required
• Proficient in Excel
• SAP a plus
