Become a Business Controls Senior Advisor at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll perform Quality Reviews (QA), risk-assessments, and will be responsible for formulating and implementing targeted risk management methodologies to evaluate and minimize compliance risk.
You will be educating and counseling Compliance and Quality teams across the Customer Service Business Unit. You will remain informed of dynamic changes that occur within the environment and adjust methodologies and strategies based on these changes.
You will also develop QA tools and procedures, provide training on industry best practices, and lead various assessments.

- Develop annual risk and QA plans and strategies under the mentorship of the QA Sr. Manager
- Conduct assessments on compliance risk and controls following established QA processes and procedures; Identify and communicate issues to management;
support the remediation of issues through the recommendation or development of appropriate controls.
- Support and coordinate OU execution of assessment plans and provide advisory services on risk identification, controls development, and compliance activities.
- Build a culture of compliance by educating employees and managers on the requirements and importance of the company being in compliance with regulations, conduct training on quality assurance, risk management, controls design, compliance assessments, and other governance related topics.
- Partner with QA and Compliance teams across the OU and cross collaboratively with Ethics and Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Environmental Health Safety and Quality teams.
- Report to management on key risks and compliance issues found within the regulatory compliance environment identified through risk and compliance assessments and associated metrics;
Inform and advise leadership of control strengths and weaknesses.
Develop executive-level presentations, reports, tools and dashboards. Present these findings regularly to a broad-senior-level audience.
The essentials
Ten or more years of experience in, or a combination of, Quality, Compliance, Audit, Project Management, Business Administration.
The preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, cybersecurity, risk management or other relevant field.
- 3 or more years of experience in Project Management
- Knowledge of industry best practices and standards in the field of risk management, governance, compliance, process management, and or quality assurance.
- Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Copilot, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills collaborating with teams consisting of members across a variety of departments and fields.
Ability to influence and negotiate sensitive information.
Ability to accurately analyze information, translate technical concepts, make strategic decisions and recommendations, and guide others the decision making by identifying the anticipated benefits, consequences, and impacts of alternatives.
You should know
This position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.
Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
