A leading company in Greenville is looking to add a Business Development Representative to its team. This exciting role is perfect for a driven professional with a proven track record in chemistry sales who is ready to identify, develop, and service new accounts by providing customized solutions to industrial clients.
This is a hybrid position in the Grenville, SC area.
Responsibilities :
- Provide hands-on servicing of accounts, including chemical testing, equipment calibration, and system inspections.
- Stay current on new technical applications, products, and services to offer innovative solutions to clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects, promoting company offerings and securing new business.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Marketing, Warehouse, and Engineering, to create strategies for new accounts.
- Educate clients on new products and industry trends.
- Manage the full sales process from prospecting and closing deals to ongoing account management.
- Handle executive-level customer relationships and manage complex sales cycles.
- Monitor and troubleshoot chemical programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining customer satisfaction.
- Travel to client sites and maintain a strong, active sales pipeline.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor of Science preferred.
- At least 5 years of sales experience in the chemical field
- Proven experience selling to industrial manufacturers with pre-treatment or NPDES permits.
- Ability to sell at all organizational levels, from Environmental / Safety Managers to the C-Suite (CEO, CFO, COO).
- Demonstrated experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, with experience in documentation and report generation.
- Consistently meets or exceeds sales targets and goals.
- Strong motivation driven by high commission potential.
- Experience in forecasting and business reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
