What We Need :

We are looking for a Senior Game Capture Artist who is passionate about games, patient, and an excellent team player. Capturing quality footage and screenshots takes time and coordination, as well as a bit of technical savvy.

Along with these premium qualities, they will work hand in hand with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers and the Capture Team Managers where professional and transparent communication is paramount to our success.

An ideal candidate would have 4+ years’ experience working in the AAA games industry in an artistic and / or technical capacity, and possess experience in capturing gameplay for games.

What You Will Do :

The Senior Game Capture Artist is responsible for playing 2K’s biggest upcoming AAA games and capturing screenshots and video footage for marketing purposes.

They will collaborate with other members of the team to stage the action to effectively demonstrate the gameplay, drama, and beauty of the game.

On top of this, the Senior Game Capture Artist will assist the Capture Team Managers in project management, team management, and artistic feedback.

• Capture camera lead in large multiplayer game capture sessions including choreographing large scale multiplayer scenarios
• Capture both screenshots and video footage to project specifications
• Technical troubleshooting of in-development games, acting as a liaison between the capture team and dev teams
• Manage project timelines and team resource allocation
• Lead group capture sessions as a director and choreographer
• Communicate effectively with video editors, designers, creative directors, copywriters, and producers across creative and brand marketing teams
• Effectively creates strategies for project and labor management, including shot tracking and team resourcing
• Provide feedback to the rest of the team on compositional quality of assets

Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit :

We are looking for veteran gamers with previous capture experience who show great leadership and skill for creating high quality video and image assets.

Someone with an incredible eye for composition and visual storytelling is what we are after. We need someone who can set the visual bar for the rest of the team, and to mentor them as well.

Understanding photography, cinematography, and any skills with creative applications and gameplay capture technology is highly desired.

We also want someone who is great at working with and leading other people.

Requirements

• Highly developed understanding of art, composition, light, color, and action
• Skilled in photography and cinematography
• Consistently produce high quality assets that authentically represents the product
• Technically proficient with PCs and gaming consoles
• Experienced with a variety of genres and platforms, from FPS to RPG, from PC to Nintendo Switch, and everything in between
• Proficient with controller use at FPS titles
• Experienced with video capture hardware / software - Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere and Photoshop, Shoguns, OBS experience is a plus
• Excellent leadership skills and proficient in providing and receiving critical feedback

Nice To Haves

• Light video editing using Adobe Suites
• Retouch imagery as necessary
• Unreal 5 Sequencer knowledge

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ previous game capture experience for AAA titles
• High School diploma or equivalent

The pay range for this position in Los Angeles, California at the start of employment is expected to be between $100,700 and $125,000 per Year.

However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.

Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and / or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
