Job Summary :
- Work is inside the Chevron Richmond Refinery. The job requires initial safety training certification, before any work may be done in the refinery.
- Requires use of Personal Protective Equipment, as outlined by Chevron Richmond and Veolia.
- Work inside refinery process units, and some interaction with refinery operators.
- Collect water samples from sample points in units throughout the refinery.
- Transport the samples to designated laboratory for lab testing.
- Testing of samples both in the field and in the laboratory. Testing is done using specific analytical procedures and lab equipment and reagents.
- Lab test results need to be accurate and correct and reported to the Veolia Site Manager. The Veolia Site Manager will include data in professional service reports, which are distributed to refinery customer personnel.
- Collect chemical inventory and usage rates and report information to Veolia Site Manager.
- Provide support with chemical transfers. A forklift is used for this job task.
- Follow daily job scope and specific tasks as outlined by the Veolia Site Manager.
- Be flexible to move from 1 job task to another, as determined by the Veolia Site Manager.
- Forklift certification is desired, but not a requirement.
- Work in the refinery requires 20 hours of RSO training, 4 hours of Chevron safety training, 1 hour of Chevron safety training, and completion of Veolia safety modules.
