Virtual School Occupational Therapist

Location : Pennsylvania, United States (Remote)

Job Type : Fulltime, Next School Year Contract - Work From Home

Pay : $45 / Hour

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our virtual school team in Pennsylvania. As a Virtual School Occupational Therapist, you will work remotely to provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to students enrolled in our virtual school program.

You will play a crucial role in supporting students with disabilities or developmental delays, helping them develop the skills necessary to participate effectively in their educational program.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct virtual assessments to evaluate students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual motor integration, and activities of daily living.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings, in collaboration with educators, parents, and other members of the student's support team.
• Provide direct virtual occupational therapy services to students using evidence-based interventions and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor students' progress towards achieving therapy goals and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to integrate therapy goals and strategies into the virtual learning environment.
• Provide consultation and support to parents / caregivers on implementing therapy techniques and strategies at home.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions, assessments, and progress reports.
• Stay informed about best practices, trends, and developments in occupational therapy and virtual education.

Qualifications :

• Master's degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid Occupational Therapist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school setting preferred.
• Familiarity with virtual therapy platforms and technology.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
• Commitment to providing culturally responsive and inclusive services to students from diverse backgrounds.
• Access to a reliable internet connection and appropriate technology for virtual therapy sessions.

Employment Type :
