About the Role :

We are looking for an outstanding candidate for the Senior Technical Program Manager role within the Global Money Movement (GMM) team at Remitly.

The GMM Team is focused on adding new payment and disbursement options, improving the existing payments experience for customers, and creating a high-availability, world class money transfer platform and APIs that can move billions of dollars across multiple products.

You report directly to Product exerting direct influence over the product engineering roadmap to align with and achieve our goals.

As the Senior Technical Program Manager for GMM, you'll be the architect of our yearly and quarterly planning process. You'll work with teams to understand their needs and orchestrate technical projects - many already underway.

Possessing a deep understanding of our complete tech stack and how GMM integrates with Remitly's related systems is crucial.

You'll collaborate with senior engineers and product managers at Remitly to create clear plans, meticulously track progress, and present insightful reports on delivery.

Your project management expertise will encompass the entire lifecycle : schedule management, dependency management, intake and scope tracking, managing change requests, delivery risk mitigation, and presenting to executive audiences during review forums.

You Will :

  • Partner with Product, Engineering and other partners to create roadmaps and related project plans and ensure the delivery of them in the timeframes committed
  • Build frameworks and processes to manage internal and external dependencies. Identify inefficiencies in the teams operating model and lead new solutions to increase efficiency
  • Recommend and implement project management best practices to increase velocity and reliability of project execution
  • Understand the money movement ecosystem and Remitly's platform end to end, the APIs in our systems and the dependencies, and use this knowledge to create and improve our money movement systems

You Have :

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in technical program management with at least 3 years experience in the payments space
  • Experience driving medium-to-large sized technical projects with internal and external partners
  • Proficient in system architecture, comfortable at engaging in technical discussions without delving excessively into intricate details, and ability to lead conversations at a technical level
  • Strong program management skills with experience, taking plans from conception to launch and managing end-to-end execution of projects
  • Experience mentoring Technical Program Managers up to Senior levels.

Compensation Details. Non-managerial position.The starting base salary range for this position is typically $144,000-$180,000.
