The Canoeing Counselor should be a safe, strong, confident canoeist with a good understanding of canoe strokes, and other related boating knowledge.
The canoeing counselor is responsible for creating and implementing age appropriate canoe lessons and activities, for campers.
The canoeing counselor is also required to complete written evaluations of all campers who participate in the canoeing program, and will assist other counselors in the rowing, kayaking and fishing curriculums.
Prerequisites :
- Completed first year of college (by start of summer)
- ARC Lifeguard Certification (Roughing It will reimburse and may have course available)
47 hrs / week, starting at $790 / week
