Job Overview :
The Mid-Level Patent Associate Attorney will primarily focus on patent prosecution and portfolio management, specializing in video processing and codecs.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
Duties :
- Conduct patent prosecution and manage patent portfolios.
- Provide counsel on patent analysis and opinions.
- Participate in Inter Partes Reviews (IPRs) as needed.
- Stay updated on video coding standards and technologies.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Adapt to the firm's evolving needs and best practices.
Requirements :
- 2+ years of prosecution experience at a firm or in-house.
- Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Strong knowledge and experience in video processing and video codecs.
- Familiarity with video coding standards.
- Experience in virtual / augmented reality and AI is a plus.
- Graduate-level experience or an advanced technical degree is a plus.
- Admission to the USPTO is a plus.
