The Software Developer position we are looking to hire will play a key role in maintaining, upgrading, developing, and improving our Epicor Eclipse ERP software with the goal of supporting our end users' needs in throughout our business .
In this role you will be responsible for advanced technical maintenance and all aspects of the development life cycle, including defining, developing, and testing technical and architectural solutions.
This position will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of projects with internal and external Eclipse experts, where you can apply your existing knowledge to solve new problems.
This is a position in a highly collaborative environment working with other skilled technical professionals to continuously improve code quality and execution.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Learn, diagnose, repair, maintain, and enhance our legacy ERP system.
Work closely with our Project Management Team and internal business units to define technical requirements and build solutions Define, map, and leverage data from legacy systems to new systems.
Experience with Unidata, UniVerse, or any multivalue database programming. Analyze, design, code, customize, install, test, debug and maintain system software developed with Pick BASIC.
Provide support functions in terms of monitoring critical application processes, schedule processes, and user processes Lead and test code migrations into new Epicor Eclipse upgrades 2x / year, including migrating all custom code to the development environment for testing and then to the production environment Respond to critical alerts in a timely manner Communicate effectively with the end users to understand issues or to take new requests when and if modifications are needed.
Develop and maintain documentation to support current and new system functions Read and interpret documents such as technical specifications and programming reference materials Have strong oral and written communication skills Experience and qualifications Required : 5+ years of hands-on experience developing systems utilizing a Multivalued database Unidata / Universe, preferred Familiarity with Eclipse TCL Ability to program in Pick Basic and add / change Eclipse code Able to utilize APIs Familiar with Eclipse Mass loads and dictionary maintenance Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills Detailed analytical skills Strong time management skills Structured troubleshooting skills Build and define test plans and / or test data Accuracy and attention to detail Strong customer service experience Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
