Journeyman Wireman Minimum 5 years’ experience Successfully completed Union Apprenticeship Program
Essential Functions / Duties :
- Teach courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures, as well as Basic Course Information sheets.
- Prepare and submit timely grade reports and other reports on student performance as may be scheduled or required.
- Organize class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the course.
- Provide input and work with other faculty and staff to review, produce and / or select course-related materials.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Extensive electrical knowledge of the subject areas for commercial, residential, and industrial construction, in which the individual is responsible for instruction.
Must have knowledge of areas of discipline to be taught; Electrical Code and Practices- Level I, Rigging-Level I, Torque-Level I, Instrumentation-Level I, Electrical Code Calculations-Level II, Motor Controls-Level II, Building Automation-Level II, Health Care System- Level II, Electrical Code Calculations-Level III, Motor Controls-Level III, 4 National Electrical Code, and Fire Alarm Code, NFPA
- Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and of effective instruction.
- Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of community college students.
- Knowledge and understanding of principles of curriculum development.
- Computer literate and able to navigate in a Windows environment.

Note : All Adjunct positions are part-time, temporary assignments (for no more than one semester at a time) dependent upon student enrollment and the instructional needs of the College.
