Job Description
The Business Unit Manager is responsible for top-level leadership and execution of the company’s companion diagnostic algorithm strategy and performance.
These activities specifically include the oversight of the algorithm development department, including research scientists, pathologists, software development, data collection, regulatory compliance and interaction with executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Product Development define the scope and lead the planning and implementation of a specific product.
- Validate the marketability of the product based on user, market and performance requirements.
- Facilitate the definition of the product, including goals and deliverables; gathers new product information and validates the accuracy of that information.
- Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the product.
- Develop a project plan for each product, including the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the product.
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the product to all stakeholders.
- Ensure implementation of a Quality Management System.
Qualifications
- MBA or M.S. in Management related to image processing, or equivalent work experience; PhD preferred.
- 10+ years of management experience related to the medical field with emphasis on the engineering of image processing algorithms.
- Knowledge of medical industry with deep biological, medical or engineering proficiency and FDA regulatory compliance.
- Experience with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in the use of business computer applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Understanding of intellectual property rights compliance and enforcement.
- TL and processing of structured and unstructured data.
