Senior UI Developer

The Senior UI Developer within the Price Optimization Architecture team, will play a pivotal role in developing groundbreaking solutions utilized by engineers in our Business Unit.

The primary objective of the UI Platform is to "expedite UI Application Development," and your dedicated emphasis will be on fulfilling this mission by crafting unique software solutions created specifically "by engineers, for engineers."

Zelis is implementing large scale system modernization efforts across software products involving migration to modern architecture and containerized environments managed using innovative DevSecOps automations and processes.

Work with product managers, subject matter experts and development teams to create software designs, scope technical initiatives and epics, evaluate new technologies, and develop architecture frameworks and complex product features in support of program priorities.

The ideal candidate will have experience in software architecture and development of enterprise solutions leveraging industry leading platforms and technologies.

This hands-on" position requires solid technical and exceptional interpersonal skills.

Essential Duties and Functions

• Identify and evaluate current systems for opportunities to improve architecture roadmap that maximizes the use of advanced technology and seek to further modernization objectives
• Design, develop and demo proof of concept prototypes for complex features
• Lead our UI Software Development Kit technical design discussions
• Assist in the design and implementation of efficient and reusable systems that power our many web applications
• Own all aspects of feature implementation from design to delivery
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to your peers
• Establish and enforce best practices and coding standards
• Regularly lead code reviews to ensure code quality
• Ability to work closely with product managers, engineering teams and architecture stakeholders on solution design, estimation, technical issues, architectural considerations and engineering assessment of product goals
• Follow established HIPAA, Compliance & Security policies

Required Experience :

• 4+ years of experience in design and development of highly scalable enterprise applications that run on premise or in cloud environments.
• 2 or more years of experience as a Senior Engineer (Lead Developer), or similar role
• Solid understanding of JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5 and MVC frameworks
• Experience in JavaScript libraries / frameworks such as Angular, React, Blazor, Bootstrap, or Vue
• Experience working with responsive design, Bootstrap, Typescript and modern frontend programming design patterns.
• Experience with APIs design and implementation
• Experience with UI libraries and how it works with APIs
