The role.

Innomotics is looking for a Buyer to join their team at their facility in New Kensington, PA. In this role, the candidate will work closely with Strategic Procurement, Project Management, Manufacturing and Engineering to plan orders and purchase material / components based on customer / project needs.

This person will focus on meeting assigned delivery reliability targets while managing inventory to achieve optimal inventory levels and inventory turnover targets, as well as track, monitor and expedite part shortages.

This position reports to the Purchasing Manager. This is a hybrid role, working onsite 1-3 days / week .

Responsibilities :

Oversees the purchasing activities for assigned inventory components, supporting both intercompany and third-party manufacturing product lines.

The ideal candidate will secure pricing from approved suppliers, issue purchase orders, address supply issues to meet customer demand, and resolve invoicing discrepancies.

Additionally, the Buyer will determine sourcing models, plan inventory levels, ensure inventory accuracy, and maintain material master and information records accurately in SAP.

Executes Commodity strategies to ensure cost-efficient, long-term supply of materials.

Supports the implementation and ensures the use of globally standardized methods, processes, and systems to maintain high process efficiency (e.

g. compliant Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process, Procurement guidelines).

Ensures adherence to supplier commitments such as on-time delivery and negotiated pricing.

Facilitates and supports negotiations to achieve the maximum possible savings.

Creates, records, and implements cost-saving measures to enhance business success and ensure transparency of results.

Supports a variety of Supplier Management processes for assigned components, such as qualification, selection, evaluation, development, classification.

Ability to establish and maintain supplier relationships and recognize the importance of strong supplier relationship management

Works closely with internal customers to ensure effective cross-functional collaboration and early engagement in project execution, maintenance, and problem-solving.

Shares supplier information with internal business partners.

Support planning and coordination of new product introduction or product changes

Adheres to and applies the principles of excellent data stewardship by ensuring all relevant SAP fields contain timely and accurate information (e.

g., accurate PO due dates, adjusted stocking levels to meet business needs, consistent review and action based on MRP messaging).

Your profile.

Required Knowledge / Skills, Education, and Experience :

Exhibits extensive expertise in their field by effectively completing moderately complex tasks. Applies a solid understanding of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures within their area of specialization.

Shows a thorough understanding of the organization’s business practices and challenges.

BS / BA in related discipline, or advanced degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Minimum 3 years’ experience or equivalent education in related field (i.e. Supply Chain)

Ability to manage the efficient supply of special and custom design components

Lean process focus

Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Must possess excellent communication skills written, oral and presentation

A team player that can take the lead and guide peer departments and functions

Preferred Knowledge / Skills, Education, and Experience

BS in Supply Chain Management Preferred

3+ years’ experience in related field

Proficient in SAP

The pay range for this position is $52,200 - $89,600. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
