Mechanical Design Engineer
Location : Georgetown, KY
Salary range : $55K-$77K DOE
This company is a systems integrator specializing in projects involving the modification of M2M conveyor systems and the design and manufacturing of custom equipment for OEMs and Tier 1 automotive manufacturing plants.
The hired design engineer will be responsible for mechanical design and testing of various material handling control systems.
Experience with 2D and 3D design using SolidWorks and / or AutoCAD (or similar software) is required.
Responsibilities :
- Design material handling equipment such as conveyors, robots, automated vehicles and more.
- Meet with customers to discuss equipment and project needs and / or issues.
- Oversee fabrication, assembly, and testing of equipment at site Georgetown, KY.
- Work with vendors to outsource fabrication as needed.
- Troubleshooting of equipment
- Project commissioning
Education :
- Degree in Engineering or related field
- Must have knowledge in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Pneumatics, Microsoft Office
Travel Requirements :
30% of travel is required.
