Your Day-to-Day :
As a Geotechnical Project Engineer, you will oversee the management and execution of geotechnical engineering services across Kentucky and neighboring states.
Your projects will encompass subsurface explorations, slope stability evaluations, construction support services, and more, supporting a variety of civil infrastructure projects including roadways, bridges, and buildings.
Key responsibilities include :
- Planning, scheduling, and supervising geotechnical field explorations for diverse projects.
- Evaluating and compiling complex geotechnical laboratory test results and field data.
- Applying geotechnical engineering principles to perform analyses for shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, and settlement, and providing recommendations for ground improvement.
- Communicating geotechnical design and construction issues effectively to both technical and non-technical clients and project teams.
- Writing detailed reports, preparing proposals, and engaging in marketing and business development activities.
- Leading by example in adhering to internal policies and practices, including health and safety, risk management, project management, and quality management.
- Prioritizing and managing time to meet project deadlines.
- Actively participating in professional organizations.
What You Bring :
- You have a Bachelor's degree (or higher) in civil or geotechnical engineering (with emphasis on geotechnical engineering) from an ABET accredited institution
- You have a minimum of 4 years work experience in geotechnical engineering
- You have a Professional Engineer (PE) license
