Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Transportation or logistics industry experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities :
- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the general ledger.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance internal controls.
- Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
- Mentor and lead a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
