Job Description
Job Description
- Are you tired of treating back-to-back patients without sufficient time for documentation, left to try to write your notes on your lunch break or on your own time, LEAVING YOU FEELING EXHAUSTED at the end of every day?
- Do you love working with women who have concerns about back pain, pelvic floor problems or being able to work out, but you’re STUCK WORKING IN A GENERAL orthopedic clinic, where you’re only seeing Women’s Health issues once in a while?
- Do you long to have the AUTONOMY to treat patients in a HOLISTIC WAY, which may include physical and energetic healing?
- Do you have great MANUAL THERAPY SKILLS that you want to use, but feel like your hands are tied because your current employer limits how many units of manual therapy you are "allowed" to charge?
- Do you have a GROWTH MINDSET, a desire to be the best therapist you can be, as well as a true advocate for patients?
- If this sounds like what you’re looking for, we have an Occupational Physical Therapist position YOU WILL LOVE!
What We've Got For You :
An OccupationalTherapist position, starting at part time with potential to work up to a full-time position, if you desire, depending on your success and growth.
Includes accrued paid time off, accrued CEU allowance and in-house training where you can care for your well-being, and enhance your clinical skills to best serve your clients.
A clinic where you will be satisfied with our slower pace than a typical in-network or "Therapy Mill" clinic while providing the highest quality of care.
If you have some experience in recommending and selling a full plan of care to your patients then you will be right at home here.
If you don’t have experience with this, but you have a willingness to learn it, then we welcome you to apply.
- Collaboration with an experienced pelvic floor therapy team who absolutely loves treating patients in a holistic way.
- If you’re looking for a mentor because you have little to no experience in pelvic floor or women’s health OT, this position is not the right fit for you.
We are looking for an experienced therapist who can join our team and collaborate with us so we can serve our perinatal patients in Colorado Springs even better.
A clinic that is structured where you will treat one patient at a time in a private treatment room, for FULL 60 minute sessions, 15 minutes PAID time between patients for documentation and a maximum of 7-8 patients daily (your choice).
This will ensure you can give your best and still feel good at the end of your day.
An environment where you are encouraged to be yourself and infuse your personality and expertise into your work. If you don’t like a light-hearted yet respectful work environment, please don’t apply.
We work hard but we also laugh and have fun at work among our team and with our patients.
- A chance to reach people directly, who are eager to make their own healthcare decisions, to educate them about how you can help them with common pelvic floor and orthopedic concerns.
- A clinic where patients show up for consultations and evals informed that you can help, knowing what to expect and already been screened to be an ideal candidate to receive our services.
With This Dream Occupational Therapy Role, You Will
- Have complete focus on the patient and ability to guide them to their desired outcome using our services. You’ll get to use your talents, knowledge, passion and unique personality to make a difference in people’s lives every day.
- Because we are a 100% cash-based practice, our patients are fully invested in their care and follow through with recommendations at home.
- Go home feeling energized because of the impact you truly made on your clients, being surrounded day in and day out by a fun and supportive team.
- Receive access to training to enhance your clinical, networking, and nurturing skills. We’ll be here to guide you on how to best communicate with clients in a way that will get them to say yes to continued treatment over and over again, which means they achieve what THEY want!
- Get the opportunity to be a part of a compassion-filled practice that is changing the way things are done in healthcare.
No more big corporations, massive hospital systems, or healthcare agencies, or dealing with Medicare reimbursement.
Be able to use your creativity and expertise to help create internal and external marketing materials that may include social media content (written, video, audio), teaching for workshops / small informative classes and building relationships with our referral partners.
You Should Apply For This Job If
You are an experienced and confident Women’s Health Pelvic Floor OT with at least one year’s experience working with women's health pelvic floor patients (even better if you have experience working with prenatal and postpartum patients), with a strong orthopedic background (particularly when it comes to progressing exercise and providing pain relief of the spine, head and hips;
we turn away ankle, knee, shoulder, elbow and hand patients to focus on our niche audience). Please do NOT apply to this job if you do not have experience in these areas.
You are open to selling cash-based services and recommending plans of care that people will be paying out-of-pocket for.
Do not apply if you dislike selling and have no desire to learn this.
- You have a creative side. You love to teach and you have a desire to educate about pelvic floor health as it relates to pregnancy and postpartum care.
- You DON’T want to work in a "Therapy Mill" and are looking to have a healthy work-life balance; you don't want to go home exhausted and frustrated every day.
- You want to work in an established, fully cash-based practice that has a very positive reputation in the community, so you can spend time truly developing relationships with clients, not paper-shuffling or dealing with insurance / Medicare approval.
- You want longer treatment sessions - you have already discovered that 30 or 45 minutes just isn’t enough time for you to deliver quality patient care!
- You read our team members' bios (https : / / healingspotpt.com / our -team / ) and they resonate with you and you would be excited to join our team!
- You believe in what you do and you have confidence in the outcomes you can help women achieve.
- You enjoy learning, even in your free time, just because you love pelvic floor therapy and prenatal / postpartum care.
- You are proficient in being able to Assess and Treat diagnoses such as prolapse, diastasis, incontinence, postpartum and pregnancy pain.
You can recommend an appropriate Plan of Care, including a prognosis and projected timeline in order to reach a particular outcome or goal of the patient.
You know it doesn’t have to be perfect, but you know you can do it because you’ve done it before.
Who We Are Looking For :
We are looking for an experienced Pelvic Floor Occupational Therapist who is passionate about prenatal and postpartum pelvic floor care.
The perfect candidate will be confident in their knowledge, their skills, in their ability to assess patients and carry out a treatment plan.
We are looking for a therapist that has a strong orthopedic and pelvic floor background that can picture themselves working with our clientele.
Please read over our website, check out our YouTube channel, scour our social media platforms, and review Our Team page.
If doing so MAKES YOU FEEL EXCITED at the chance to be a part of our team and our mission, we want to talk to you!
If you are excited to be a part of a Cash Based Practice, to develop your interpersonal communication skills and really connect with patients, this is the job for you.
If you already have some experience recommending Plans of Care where your patients have paid out of pocket for your services, your skills will be valued here.
Even if you don’t have skills in this area, you are willing to learn and rise to the challenge with the help of training, guidance and coaching along the way.
About Us :
We are a private-practice clinic that was founded in 2016. We are located in Colorado Springs at 6645 Delmonico Drive Suite 100.
We operate outside the traditional healthcare system, which means we serve our clients with a passion and exceptional customer experience that makes them feel cared for, safe and valued.
Because we are a 100% cash-pay clinic we are looking for a confident therapist who can reassure patients that they understand their problem, articulate how they can help, and then deliver on the promised outcome.
Some on-the-job coaching and training is provided; previous experience in a cash based practice is not necessary, but a willingness to learn and grow is.
We serve prenatal and postpartum women who have pelvic floor, core and pain issues. We regularly see women who have concerns about Diastasis Recti, Pelvic Organ Prolapse, Incontinence (Urinary, Fecal and Gas), Spine / Hip / Coccyx Pain, Pelvic Pain, Birth Trauma and Sexual Trauma (some of our patients are nulliparous women).
Here is our website for your inspection : www.healingspotpt.com. We also invite you to check out our Social Media pages : Facebook , Instagram and YouTube to get a feel for our team and how we engage with our audience.
Benefits and Pay Structure
This position starts at part-time with potential to build your schedule to full-time, if desired. We have a waitlist of women wanting to work with us, so we have an immediate need for a confident therapist that can serve our patients.
We want to hire you for your OT skills and your passion for patient care. You will be compensated at a commission rate, which we are offering starting at $50 per patient, for time spent in patient care.
The more time you work in delivering patient care, the more you will earn. For this reason, a passionate, motivated and confident clinician will earn a generous salary.
We know cancellations and reschedules happen and sometimes we have gaps in the schedule. Our front desk team does a fabulous job at enforcing our strict cancellation policy and filling gaps, but sometimes illnesses and life events happen that are unavoidable.
Our expectation is that you are productive and you are able to use your working time to proactively benefit the business and the community of women that we serve.
For this reason, when you’re not doing 1 : 1 patient care your base rate will start at $30 / hour and you will be paid for the time you spend on PR, Marketing or Admin tasks.
These include things like making calls to patients, content creation for marketing purposes (which may include videos, writing, making Reels with the help of our marketing assistant), and doing consults (Discovery Sessions) with potential patients.
The Healing Spot is a small business that has a very favorable reputation in the community, among birth professionals and with our current and former patients.
We are now seeking our next team member.
If you were to join our team we will value, respect and care for you if in turn you can help us continue to provide an exceptional customer experience for our patients that goes way beyond what is offered by most therapy clinics.
