Pharmacy technicians participate in many essential roles in our Department and health-system, including medication inventory and distribution, assisting in the preparation of compounded sterile products and non-sterile products, maintenance of required records and documentation, and other important duties important for the provision of patient care.
The goal of the Research Pharmacy (RP) in the Department of Pharmacy Services at Michigan Medicine is to ensure that investigational drug studies and other drug related research at the Hospitals and Clinics are conducted in a safe and efficient manner.
In doing so, the RP assists investigators in complying with the requirements of the FDA, study sponsors, Michigan State Board of Pharmacy Regulations, The Joint Commission standards and requirements, and hospital and pharmacy policies.
