As an Electrical Engineer at Hypercraft, you'll play a pivotal role in the development and integration of electronics and power systems for electric vehicles.
In this role, you'll :
- Design custom electronics to enable the company and our customers
- Work with both high and low voltage systems for electric vehicles
- Be part of a growing team working on a variety of projects
Your expertise will be crucial in developing tailored electric vehicle systems that perfectly align with our clients' needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work the Product and Engineering teams to solve vehicle design and integration problems with electronics.
- Use Product and Engineering requirements to select components to ultimately deliver complete PCBA level electronics systems.
- Design and validate PCB level schematics and layouts using simulation and prototyping.
- Develop test systems for production scaling of electrical systems.
- Debug electronics at the system, subsystem, and component level.
- Design high voltage BEV and Hybrid automotive electronics.
- Design diverse low voltage automotive electronics that include power electronics, CAN and Ethernet, microcontroller, and analog sensing.
- Work with vendors and board fabricators to achieve design goals.
MUST HAVES
- B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in automotive electronics related design and development
- 3-5 years experience designing, testing, and shipping electronics
- Proficiency with electronic measurement equipment such : battery simulators, programmable loads, milli-ohm meters, oscilloscopes, high voltage power supplies, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers
- Experience with hardware design reviews as a technical contributor
- Experience with mixed signal, multi-domain electronics design and fabrication
- Experience in automotive, industrial vehicles, and electric vehicles is a big plus
- Excellent verbal and written communications and analytical skills appropriate for interaction with team members (internal and external customers, suppliers, hardware engineers, test staff & management)
LOCATION & COMPENSATION
- This position requires that you can work from our Provo, UT office
- This position is a full-time salaried position with benefits commensurate upon experience
- 40+ hours per week
- This position may include up to 20% travel
- Pay range : $100,000 to $120,000 DOE
