Sr. Robotics / Autonomy Engineer As a member of the R&D team, the Senior Autonomy Engineer will lead the development of cutting-edge AI technology for robots, enabling them to perceive, learn, and navigate complex environments safely.

Candidates must have advanced expertise in machine learning, perception, SLAM, and motion planning. This role includes guiding R&D efforts and mentoring team members. Responsibilities :

  • Expertly implement machine learning algorithms, SLAM, motion planning, and robotic perception for safe navigation in complex environments.
  • Survey and research state-of-the-art technologies in machine learning, SLAM, and motion planning; propose new research directions.
  • Develop adaptive algorithms for robotic learning from human demonstrations.
  • Integrate and deploy solutions to the robot fleet; assess real-world impact through data analysis.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship in robotics, machine learning, and supporting software development.
  • Research and develop supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning algorithms for analyzing robotic fleet data.
  • Develop algorithms to enhance robotic perception, mapping, and motion planning on various hardware platforms.
  • Offer expertise in developing software frameworks and tools to streamline robotics research.

Requirements :

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • In-depth experience with SLAM, Perception, or Motion Planning algorithms.
  • 4 years of industry experience in embodied AI (e.g., robotics, self-driving).
  • Strong background in machine learning techniques (unsupervised, supervised, reinforcement, demonstration) and optimization algorithms.
  • Proficient coding skills in Python and C++ in a Linux environment.
  • Extensive experience converting research publications into implementations.
  • Proficiency in deep neural network packages (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Experience designing and developing robotic systems using robotic middleware (e.g., ROS) and existing libraries / tools.
  • Proven track record in research excellence or implementing research into practical solutions.
  • Experience with continuous integration, deployment, and release management tools.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong system integration and software architecture skills.
  • Experience launching products with embedded machine learning algorithms.

Pay Rate : $140-175K
