Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities
The Iridium Internship Program is an opportunity for students to be a part of the Iridium teams shaping the future of satellite communications.
As an Intern, you’ll begin making an impact on real projects from day one! Come prepared to grow, develop, and learn alongside a team and the leaders of our company.
The Iridium Internship program is a 12-week program that runs from May 27, 2025 to August 15, 2025. During the program, interns will have the opportunity to provide valuable support to an Iridium department on a project or important work assignment.
Interns will also be provided an opportunity to engage with senior leadership and fellow interns via regular engagement activities.
Interns will participate in an end of internship presentation, where we ask them to reflect on their summer internships and present a summary of what they have learned and accomplished.
What We’re Looking For :
The Iridium Billing Development team is seeking a bright intern to join their team. As part of yearly billing operations systems development and release cycles, new features will be built in Billing, Provisioning and the Front End application.
As a member of the team you will have a great opportunity to understand the concepts of an Operations Support System and Business Support System.
You will also be able to work in and gain experience in an agile development, and have an opportunity to further your knowledge with Unix, Selenium, SQL, Oracle technologies and Automation skills.
What You’ll Do :
- Develop automation testing framework for application part of the OSS / BSS stack
- Building CI / CD framework for OSS / BSS stack
- Participate in different Agile ceremonies like daily scrum calls, grooming.
- Test case, Test plan development
- SOAP and Rest API testing
Skills You’ll Obtain :
- Get a good knowledge of Operations Support System and Business Support System domains.
- Understand the typical telecommunications provisioning concepts.
- Scripting language Selenium with Java, Perl
- Gitlab
- Jira
- SOAP, Rest API

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Must be currently enrolled in a bachelor's or graduate degree program at an accredited academic institutionComputer Science major preferred
- US Citzenship is required
