Commercial / OTR Tire Tech General Description :

Perform alignment and Tire service for commercial vehicles and large equipment, inside shop and outside roadside and customer yard work.

Commercial / OTR Tire Tech Duties Include :

• Inspect vehicles using commercial TIA standards and Advise customer and or management of necessary repairs.
• Align front ends and suspension systems, using alignment equipment
• Drive service truck to customer locations and requested road service calls.
• Raise and lower vehicles safely, with hydraulic or floor jacks.
• Safely operate all shop machinery, including but not limited to safety cage, spreader, balancer, floor jacks or lifts, air powered tools, torque wrench and / or torque sticks.
• Safely operate all service truck machinery, including but not limited to all shop machinery, boom and hook.
• Read work orders thoroughly and perform all listed tasks.
• Perform general housekeeping duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Commercial / OTR Tire Tech Physical Demands / Work Environment :

• Lifting : Frequent lifting over 50 pounds from ground to chest high.
• Frequent squatting, bending, and twisting.
• Repetitive motion.
• Sustained vibrations.
• Standing for extended periods of time.
• Read ticket and perform work listed; write confirmation and recommendation.
• Environment : Work in an environment that is not climate controlled. Temperatures range from extremely hot to extremely cold, depending on the season.
• Vision (Near, distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception).
• Sense of sound (Alarms, horns, and motorized equipment).
• PPE : Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Safety Glasses, gloves, safety harnesses, steel reinforced footwear).
