Responsibilities :
- Diagnostic Testing : Conduct comprehensive hearing assessments using audiometric tests and other diagnostic tools to identify hearing and balance disorders.
- Patient Consultations : Consult with patients to discuss test results, explain diagnoses, and recommend appropriate treatment options.
- Treatment Planning : Develop customized treatment plans based on individual patient needs, which may include hearing aids, assistive listening devices, or other therapeutic interventions.
- Hearing Aid Fittings : Provide expert guidance on selecting, fitting, and adjusting hearing aids for optimal comfort and performance.
- Counseling : Offer counseling and support to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and coping mechanisms.
- Collaboration : Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, such as otolaryngologists, speech-language pathologists, and primary care physicians, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including test results, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay Informed : Keep abreast of advancements in audiology research, technology, and best practices to continuously improve patient care.
- Community Outreach : Participate in community outreach programs to raise awareness about hearing health and promote preventive measures.
Requirements
Requirements
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Audiology from an accredited program.
- State licensure and certification as an Audiologist.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
