- Financial Reporting :
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Review financial reports and provide analysis to senior management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting :
- Lead the budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate forecasts and budgets.
- Monitor variances between actual results and budgeted / forecasted amounts and provide explanations for significant discrepancies.
- Tax Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filings, including income tax, sales tax, and other applicable taxes.
- Supervision and Team Management :
- Manage a team of accounting professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support : AP / AR, Staff Accountant, Accounting Coordinator.
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance evaluations for team members.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting professional development and growth opportunities for team members.
- Timesheet Approvals & Performance Reviews
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum high school / GED education and prefer minimum one year of accounting experience plus an Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of proper accounting terms and procedures
- Strong data entry skills
- Better than average math skills
- Must be flexible and highly organized
- Must be honest, respectful and trustworthy and demonstrate sound work ethics
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to learn
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exhibit a cheerful presence and teamwork skills
- Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Quickbooks and integration to Point of Rental
