CORE : is seeking a personable individual with an eye for detail, to join our Culinary Team as a Pastry Cook
Primary Role & Responsibilities
- Produce a wide variety of pastries, ice-cream, chocolates, cakes and other baked goods by following established recipes
- Prepare all a la carte and special desserts during service hours
- Take part in pre-service duties and applicable closing duties
- Maintain menu pars and communicate to Management and service staff when quantities fall below restaurant specific minimum quantity
- Accurately account for all items coming out of the station
- Understand and follow the food allergy procedure and special orders / restrictions
- Accurately handle food items to minimize waste
- Ensures the highest standards and consistent quality in the daily preparation and keep up to date with the new products, recipes and preparation techniques.
- Maintain department cleanliness and organization, adhere to safe work and equipment practices, and follow all food safety, health and sanitization standards
- Perform other duties and tasks if necessary, based on business needs
Minimum Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience as Pastry Cook, Baker or relevant role.
- Highly motivated, focused and passionate
- Exhibits professionalism and teamwork, great interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure, be professional, efficient, detail-oriented, and courteous
- Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn and grow.
Must have availability to work holidays and weekends, if necessary.
