Corporate Controller
Company : Our client is committed to excellence in everything they do. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Controller to join their executive team.
This is a pivotal role that will shape the financial future of the company and contribute to their strategic direction.
Position Overview : Reporting directly to the President, the Corporate Controller will be responsible for directing the fiscal functions of the company.
The Corporate Controller will play a key role in providing strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues that affect the company.
Additionally, the Corporate Controller will oversee the accounting process and be responsible for enhancing and developing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures that improve the overall operation, effectiveness, and financial condition of the company.
Responsibilities :
Leadership & Strategic Input : Direct the company's financial functions, offering strategic financial guidance, and provide leadership on decision-making issues that impact the company's financial health.
Financial Oversight & Compliance : Direct financial activities within the accounting department. Assign projects, ensure compliance, and maintain accuracy in financial reporting.
Oversee monthly and year-end closing processes, sub ledger, and bank reconciliations.
Financial Reporting : Assist in preparing financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and audits. Ensure financial statements are accurate and adhere to GAAP and regulatory requirements.
Improve financial reporting accuracy through control reviews and special analysis.
Internal Controls & Audits : Maintain and improve internal controls, ensuring compliance with company policies. Coordinate and complete year-end audits, ensuring all materials are well-prepared.
Budgeting & Capital Investment : Oversee financial budget planning and strategy for capital investments. Coordinate with the parent company on financial requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
Cash Management : Implement and ensure effective cash management strategies in line with company policy.
Documentation & Record-Keeping : Maintain orderly physical files and records of transactions.
Additional Duties : Perform other duties as assigned by the President or as required by the position.
Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA certification is preferred.
Experience : 5-7 years of experience in accounting management. Proven experience in directing and supervising a financial team.
Skills : Strong communication skills, with the ability to be descriptive, polite, and concise. High attention to detail, disciplined, and diligent.
Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight stays. Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Office, accounting software, and databases.
Ability to handle large data sets effectively. Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, and regulations.
Location : Onsite Springfield, OH
Salary : $125,000, car or car stipend, gas reimbursement
