Position Specific Description
- Position is responsible for short-term natural gas procurement and optimization
- Works closely with various teams within EMT including Scheduling, Origination, Power Trading and Analytics
- Ensure alignment and compliance with all relevant management systems and Risk guidelines
- Develop and maintain relationships with gas producers, marketers, and operations
- Responsible for after-hours and weekend on call responsibilities as part of a rotation
- Required participation / presence for all critical events, including potential relocation to back-up site during extreme weather events

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Monitors market conditions and analyzes transactions to help in identifying and executing energy trades
- Ensures transaction terms are beneficial to the organization and meet risk guidelines
- Optimizes economics to assure minimum energy supply costs and maximizes profits for generation portfolio
- Determines generation requirements and coordinates fuel procurement to meet obligations
- Coaches junior traders
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Grad / GED
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience : 1+ years
