Tierra Encantada, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN is actively expanding its brand presence across the United States. We are seeking a results-oriented Chief Marketing Officer to join our executive leadership team at Tierra Encantada.

This role is responsible for creating, implementing, and executing the Company’s marketing efforts.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategic Vision : Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's business goals, focusing on customer and franchise acquisition along with market penetration.
  • Brand Leadership : Shape, elevate, and uphold brand identity, ensuring a cohesive, compelling, and differentiated narrative that resonates with our target audiences and provides a differentiated presence in the childcare sector.
  • Team Leadership : Build, coach, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Values-Driven Leadership : Embody and promote the company’s values in all aspects of marketing. Lead by example to inspire a culture of integrity, accountability, and respect, both within the marketing team and across the organization.
  • Demand & Lead Generation : Build a scalable demand generation engine fed by a comprehensive multi-channel strategy to achieve lead generation targets.
  • Nationwide Market Expansion : Create, plan and execute data-driven go-to-market strategies and campaigns for new center openings, ensuring successful center openings and ongoing marketing campaigns to drive national market penetration.
  • Marketing Research & Analytics : Conduct thorough market research to capture and synthesize customer, competitor, consumer, industry, and business insights to identify trends, customer needs, major opportunities, and threats.
  • Collaborative leadership : Partner with operations and franchise development teams to refine and communicate Tierra Encantada’s unique value proposition, differentiating the company in the market.
  • Communications : Own and lead all external communications, including owned and earned channels, ensuring excellent messaging, regular content, and optimization to advance the company.
  • Thought Leadership : Establish the company as a thought leader in the early childhood education, language immersion learning, and entrepreneurship spaces through content marketing, industry events, awards submissions, press, and strategic partnerships.
  • Performance Management : Measure, analyze, and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives, using data-driven insights to optimize performance, measure ROI, and inform decision-making.
  • Fiscal Management : Responsible for creating annual budgets and quarterly forecasts and executing the strategy within those parameters.

Position Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a multi-dimensional, regional or national marketing role, owning marketing for the enterprise while leading across product & field marketing, brand, creative, PR / Social, demand creation, thought leadership, and metrics / data with an understanding of culture and regional differences for marketing purposes.
  • 3+ years of significant marketing leadership experience leading a team.
  • Bachelor’s in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or related field.
  • Substantial experience in leading the development of successful B2C marketing strategies and tactical marketing plans, from design to execution and optimization.
  • Proven track record of creating and executing an annual marketing plan.
  • Strong ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into actionable insights about the customer, the channel, and the business.
  • Proven ability to attract, develop, retain and scale great talent while instilling a high-performance team culture.
  • Demonstrable success in a large, multi-location corporation and / or experience marketing to individuals that are pregnant or have young children (under 5 years) is a huge plus.
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with a variety of cultures, backgrounds, and perspectives.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Professional knowledge of Google Analytics, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite (primarily Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), and G-Suite.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary depends on qualifications, education, and experience. Tierra Encantada offers the standard benefits in addition to 6-week parental leave, discounted childcare and waitlist priority for enrollment, flexible work environment, and employee-focused events (annual family event, company happy hours, team outings, quarterly lunch & learns, employee holiday party).
