SUMMARY :
Authorization Management Liaison Coordinator will be responsible in ensuring the efficient processing and management of insurance authorizations within the organization.
Primary responsibility will be to navigate and utilize Athenahealth's Auth Man platform to handle all aspects of authorization management, including verification, submission, and tracking across the clinic;
serve as the liaison between Lexington Clinic Athenahealth users and Athenahealth CSM team, assist in the development of policy and procedures, assist in resolution of problems with departmental activities.
The Liaison will possess effective communication and customer relations skills and the ability to be self-directed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Formal training that will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent; a minimum of two years in the medical field, preferred Orthopedic training or terminology familiar, possess moderate computer skills, proficient communication, planning and organizational skills, basic knowledge of insurance billing including, but not limited to ICD-10 and CPT coding.
PHYSICAL GUIDELINES :
Physical guidelines include the ability to move, traverse, position self, remain in a stationary position and negotiate steps for up to eight hours per day;
lift and carry up to 25 pounds; extend wrist / arms for up to eight hours; articulate speech; hear; and perform telephone and computer work (full range of motion in hands and arms).
