This is a parttime adhocremoteposition. The position is open to applicants based in any country.Hours will vary weekly. The position is most active from Septemberto February.
The purpose of this role is tooversee smooth customer experience in Crimsons US Financial AidConsulting programs by :
1. Guiding students andparents / guardians through the US Financial Aid Application processfrom introduction and application submission to financial aidpackage review
2. Developing resources tofacilitate the US Financial Aidprocess
Whatare the main responsibilities for thisrole
Holding 1to1 advising meetings toprovide stepbystep guidance on which forms families should completeand how to do so correctly
Providing insight to the othermembers of a students team and to students and / or their familiesdirectly about which schools to apply to based on the studentsfinancial need
Communicating session takeaways withstudents and the rest of their Crimson team as they move throughthe application process
Reviewing financial aidapplications before submission
Helping students findmeritbased scholarships for which they are eligible to apply bothat university and from external sources
Updating andcreating new resources to help families navigate the financial aidprocess
Providing overview presentations on the FinancialAid Application process both to Crimson families and Crimsonstaff
What skills and experienceare required
Prior experience in assistingboth US and international families / students with the US FinancialAid Application process is a must
Previous experienceaiding families / students with the CSS Profile FAFSA ISCOF ISFAAISAFA or any other US financial aid application materials isessential
Responsiveness and reliability
Empathetic communication across cultures
Proficiency inEnglish is required and fluency in one additional language ispreferred. Mandarin Cantonese Japanese and Swahili are highlydesirable however all nonEnglish languages will beconsidered.
Information management andorganization
Familiarity with financial management / financial literacy concepts
Background orknowledge inbusiness finance and / or the US tax system is preferred
Discretion confidentiality and patience are critical competenciesfor this position
Ideal candidates will have attended aUS University and will be familiar with the US financial aidapplication process including but not only : the CSS Profile andFAFSA
