JOB SUMMARY :
A seasonal team member position with the responsibility of assisting our costume characters throughout the park and also interact with Park Guests in a professional manner.
ACTIVITIES INCLUDE :
- Ensure that guests abide by all policies and procedures while interacting with the costumed characters.
- Act as an escort to costumed characters, controlling crowds and interacting with guests in a supporting role.
- Promote the park with the utmost enthusiasm and pride.
- Maintain a clean working environment both in guest view and behind the scenes.
- Resolve guest concerns that may arise on a daily basis.
- Respond to any emergency situation in the area and maintain control until an area supervisor arrives.
- Ensure the safety of characters and guests.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
- Be at least 16 years of age.
- Communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Be available to work flexible hours in the early morning, at nights, and on weekends.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :
- React well in stressful and emergency situations.
- Possess above-average communication skills.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Be safety conscious, while also outgoing with a friendly demeanor.
- Be willing to actively engage guests.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
- Continued standing, kneeling, and bending.
- Eye / hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. Manual dexterity, gross motor skills, and color definition.
- Stand / walk for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day; walk over 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
