1. Professional identity as a counselor educator.
2. Committee to the professional field of counselor education as evidenced by education, teaching counseling experience, research, and professional affiliations, such as AMHCA, ACES and ACA.
3. Experience in teaching graduate-level courses.
4. Commitment to diversity and multicultural counseling competencies.
This role requires a combination of leadership, management, academic, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead the department and contribute to the university's overall mission and goals.
Required Qualifications :
Experience :
1. Holds doctoral degree in Counselor Education or related profession and documented experience in the field of clinical mental health counseling.
2. License or License eligibility required.
Education : Doctoral Degree
Preferred Qualifications :
1. Licensed or License-eligible as a Professional Counselor or Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
2. Hold Certification or is certification-eligible with NBCC
3. Active professional involvement with NBCC and ACA
