Description
- Maintains an accounting system to meet hospital needs and providescomplete and accurate records of hospital assets, liabilities, andfinancial transactions.
- Prepares hospital financialstatements and reports for internal distribution and regulatoryreporting.
- Assists in preparation of audit and costreport work papers and other pertinent information to externalcustomers as requested.
- Receives and answersinquiries from hospital management regarding account balances,fluctuations in accounts, and related information.
- Conducts monthly reconciliation of all general ledger accounts,receivables accounts, bank accounts, investments accounts andschedules, fixed assets, and related depreciation schedules.
- Makes appropriate journal entries and reviews monthlyaccruals for payroll, income, and vendor payables.
- Responsible for accuracy and security of all banks deposits.
- Responsible for adding, changing, and building new accountsand reports in the financial software system.
- Assistwith the annual budget for the Accounting department.
- Responsible for input of hospital budget into hospital informationsystem.
- Responsible for preparing and writing anyspecial reports from the general ledgersystem.
