Senior Staff Accountant

LHH is working on behalf of our client in the real estate space who is seeking a motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join their team on a contract to hire basis.

This will be a hybrid in-office role in Manhattan, NY.

Responsibilities :

• Assist with month end close processes
• Prepare and post various journal entries (accruals, reclassifications, depreciation, etc.)
• Perform reconciliations for 5+ bank accounts
• Analyze balance sheet accounts
• Assist with full cycle AP process
• Assist with financial statement preparation under GAAP standards

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Prior Real Estate experience is a huge plus!
• Excellent MS Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups)
• Experience working with Yardi is preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation : $28 - 38 / hr, depending on experience.
