SUMMARY :
Under general direction, the Service Team Manager (STM) will be responsible for customer focus, including execution of the Service Business for the team's service agreement customer base and Time and Material growth.
Drives profitability and productivity of the team. Works with Branch Service Manager and Account Owner Sales Executives as needed to review sales opportunities prior to delivery of proposal.
Ensures that any team assigned work orders are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget and within the scope of the work.
ESSENTIAL Duties :
- Ensure that all duties of this position and those of team members reporting to this position are carried out in compliance with CES' stated mission, vision, safety standards, and company policies and procedures.
- Promotes safety through engagement of monthly safety meetings utilizing tool box training.
- Actively pursue and generate business opportunities and cultivate relationships with both existing and potential customers, while ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
- Leads the execution efforts of assigned Service business. Ensures consistency of delivery systems through supervision and audits of Field Supervisors, Customer Service Coordinators and Technicians in the delivery of quality service to customers.
- Participates in and encourages all technicians training as required.
- Actively provides recommendations and solutions to customers.
- Approves all T&M quotes and Service Agreements for accuracy and consistency.
- Support sales staff in developing accurate and thorough estimates. Review estimates before sending to customers when requested.
- Supports best business practices for daily reconciliation, billing and customer value reporting and all other service procedures.
- Assists the Accounting department in collections as needed.
- Maintain vendor relationships that enhance and protect corporation's position, while working within both the company's policies and the current legal standards.
This includes taking necessary precautions to avoid situations that could be construed as a conflict of interest or that could be deemed to be sufficient to unduly influence the employee's ability to make prudent decisions that are in the best interest of the corporation.
If there are any questions concerning a specific situation, the employee's participation is to be approved in advance by the manager of this position.
- Recruits, hires, and retains all direct reports. Works with direct reports to create effective development plans and tracks training performance
- Must be willing to travel.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Technical school or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of HVAC / R Management experience
- Ability to lead, manage, mentor and inspire others.
- Strong ability to negotiate, persuade and influence.
