A Phone Triage Nurse plays a critical role in healthcare by assessing patients' symptoms and determining the appropriate level of care needed.
As a Phone Triage Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient symptoms via telephone, providing medical advice, and determining the appropriate level of care.

Responsibilities
- Assessing patient symptoms, providing medical guidance
- Respond to patient communications including handling incoming calls
- Offer medical advice, instructions, and recommendations with excellent customer service
- Accurately record all patient interactions in the EMR system
- The Phone Triage RN or LPN performs essential functions in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating in the clinical triage areas
- Triage Specialists will assist the physicians by assessing patient issues and concerns over the phone, scheduling appointments for patients who need to be seen due to concerns
- Obtains and records accurate patient information, make appropriate clinical assessment
- Provide telephone triage and advice to callers to assist them in making timely medical decisions
- Use clinical judgment to evaluate the urgency of the patient's condition and prioritize care based on the severity of their symptoms
