Assists supervisor in managing daily activities of production associates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Duties required for successful job performance) :
Assists supervisor in managing daily activities of the production associates assuring good quality parts are produced safely, efficiently and on time.
Effectively train production associates and assure proper completion of training records.
Assists the supervisor in managing production activities for employees such as reviewing releases and hot lists, updating production boards, miscellaneous paperwork, 5S procedures, cost savings, and operator instructions, etc
Coordination of the KFS Training and qualification of OJT system
Performs process audits on assigned employees to ensure all processes, procedures, and work instructions are followed.
Performs quality checks on production operations to ensure they meet quality specifications such as gauging and SOP checks to ensure production parts meet all quality requirements.
Notifies supervisor of any issues.
Assists quality in completing corrective action reports for external and internal quality concerns
Assist with other Operations functions, as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE (These are the traditional minimum, or required, bona-fide occupational qualifications and other requirements of most people in this job).
Trained and qualified on production jobs in assigned area
Train-the-Trainer class
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES (Those needed to perform the essential functions of the job).
- Working knowledge of and full qualification on all production processes in assigned area(s)
- Thorough understanding of Sanoh’s safety and quality policies and procedures
- Working knowledge of Sanoh’s on-the-job system, including document control
- Working knowledge of product function for all parts in assigned area(s)
- Working knowledge of Sanoh’s production paperwork (reports, traceability, check sheets, etc.) for assigned area(s)
- Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
- Basic understanding of problem-solving tools and methods
- Working knowledge of all customer specifications and expectations for all parts in assigned area(s)
- Ability to effectively train others
- Good organizational skills
- Good interpersonal & communication skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills; able to learn basic functions of windows-based software
- Excellent attendance, quality and safety records

Assists supervisor in managing daily activities of the production associates assuring good quality parts are produced safely and efficiently.
If quality parts are not produced, we could shut down our customer or lose our contract with them.
Effectively train production associates and assure proper completion of training records. If associates are not trained properly they will not make quality parts.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS (Indicate job titles for this job’s supervisor and direct reports).
- This position reports directly to the Supervisors.
- This position directs the work of Production Associates, but they do not report to this position. The Supervisor deals with reviews, disciplinary action and other Human Resource related items.
WORKING CONDITIONS (Describe the environment within which the work is performed).
- Spend 100% of the time on the Production Floor.
- Coverage on opposite shifts may be required
- Overtime of varying levels may be required
- Able to work in warm conditions.
- Able to work in dusty and noisy conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 20 lbs. frequently and 10 lbs. constantly.
Must be able to move throughout the plant.
Must be able to work overtime.
