Join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of others! We are looking for a Senior Internal Communications Specialist for our Pre-Care team.

This role is a hybrid position with a partial commute into our New York office and / or the FreedomCare hub closest to you.

Position Overview :

The Senior Communications Specialist II is a seasoned, experienced professional with a full depth and breadth of communication.

This individual will be pivotal in keeping FreedomCare engaged and aware of news and updates, to enhance our communication practices and move business goals forward, overseeing a range of tasks including, but not limited to, the creation, distribution, tracking, and documenting of company-wide communications internally and externally with direction from the Business Leader.

This role must have a strong capability for framing messages, while incorporating our core values and mission through company communication.

This independent contributor will be accountable for brand development with evolving business need, in addition to building out a communications strategy for change management and consistency across the organization.

Responsibilities :

Communication Strategy

  • Identify brand theme and build upon it to create a compelling image that encapsulates the essence of the brand values and resonates with target audiences.
  • Develop comprehensive communication strategies for internal and external stakeholders, fostering alignment with organizational objectives, including newsletters, event invitations, training and standards.
  • Spearhead growth scripting initiatives (phone, text, email) to establish uniform brand representation across the company, fostering consistency in messaging, tailored for both Patient and caregiver audiences, ensuring clarity and resonance.
  • Identify new and leverage current communication channels that resonate most effectively with specific target audiences based on the communication being distributed.

Collaboration

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define event goals, themes, and logistics, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and desired outcomes.

Departments include, but not limited to : Marketing, People and Culture, HealthCare programs, Sales, Operations, Technology

  • Identify how to illuminate redundancies, for all company-wide communications and directives, to create clear, thoughtful, and well received communications of intended outcomes, while meeting deadlines effectively and remaining consistent with brand image.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for communications with our PR contractors, adeptly conveying key messages and coordinating responses for media outlets as needed.
  • Assist the CEO to formulate impactful email releases, selecting language and channels that resonates across diverse internal and external audiences.

Reporting & Documentation

  • Identify systems to conduct audience analysis and provide identifiable data to identify trends to gauge the effectiveness of communication approaches, including metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and engagement levels.
  • Create clear and concise documentation outlining communication protocols, standards, and best practices for internal reference and training purposes.
  • Maintain accurate records of communication activities, including schedules, distribution lists, and feedback received, to inform future decision-making and improvements.

The Ideal Candidate :

  • At least a bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, a related field, masters degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years proven experience in internal communications, including content creation, distribution, and engagement analysis;

preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to operate effectively in web-based platforms to support daily operations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to analyze audience receptivity to communication strategies across diverse target demographics.
  • Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with others to navigate complex communication opportunities;

use sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovation solutions.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate difficult concepts and sensitive information; influencing others to adopt a different point of view.
  • Proven background of taking of initiative in conducting brand audits and market research to identify opportunities for brand differentiation and growth to drive change management plans.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands effectively.

INDLV

At FreedomCare, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides our employees with the opportunity to professionally grow and develop within a role.

The base pay range for this role is between $70,000 and $90,000 per year at the commencement of your first year of employment.

Compensation decisions are dependent upon a variety of factors which may include, but are not limited to : skill set, years of relevant experience, education, location, and licensure / certifications.
