Conexon is a rapidly growing company working with Rural Electric Cooperatives to build advanced fiber to the home (FTTH) networks nationwide.

We have an immediate opening for smart, good-natured, full-time Level 1 IT Support Specialist with experience setting up and supporting end users with their Windows PC's, Mac's, iPads, iPhones, and Androids connecting primarily to Microsoft 365 cloud services like Exchange Online, Teams and OneDrive.

Experience with Microsoft Intune and Azure Active Directory would be a big plus. If you are dynamic and collaborative professional who has a real desire to help people, is passionate about IT, possess detective like trouble shooting skills, and is analytical and process oriented this position is for you.

Our in-house IT department supports both office and remote users. You will get the opportunity to work on a lot of interesting projects with Microsoft Cloud services and other solutions.

As a candidate for this position, you will need good phone and written skills. Be able to manage and solve helpdesk ticket as well as ad hock user emails.

Requirements :

Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions :

  • Support IT hardware for distributed workforce, including laptop imaging, access control, distribution and asset management
  • Windows 10 / 11 deployments and user computer setups
  • End user desktop support using general troubleshooting of both laptop and mobile devices while communicating with users via phone, email, or Teams chat
  • Implement best practices for healthy IT support, including but not limited to basic IT training and support ticket management
  • Create and maintain access control associated with users / permissions for Office 365 users
  • Manage user accounts in Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, One Drive, Intune, and Azure Active Directory
  • Setting up SharePoint document libraries and permissions
  • Internet connectivity troubleshooting
  • Maintain IT resources and inventory

Required Qualifications / Skills :

Self-directed, Service driven self-starter and ability to work on multiple priorities and / or projects simultaneously.

  • Hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
  • Knowledge of computing infrastructures, in particular end user MS Windows environments
  • Understands IT process with a familiarity with enterprise software configuration, management, and monitoring tools
  • Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts and adjust messaging based on the audience, including non-technical groups
  • Strong customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to remain in contact with the client thru the completion of the incident.
  • Problem-solving abilities to meet reasonable deadlines
  • Ability to work remotely at times
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Can sit for several hours in front of a computer monitor
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools such as Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel

Education and Experience Requirements :

  • Associate or higher degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 to 4 years in IT support of Office 365 on Windows and MAC platforms
  • US-based only and a fluent English written and speaking grammar level
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Office 365 management experience
  • Experience with Azure user accounts and groups
  • Experience setting up users with the Microsoft Office, OneDrive and SharePoint
  • Experience managing computers with Microsoft Intune a plus
  • Experience in Zendesk or similar service desk solutions a plus
  • Please note any technical certifications you may have
  • Microsoft certifications like MCSA : Office 365 a plus

Working Conditions :

  • Normal professional, office environment. *This is not a remote position
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Must have a reliable cell phone.
  • Must have reliable home internet connection
  • Must have reliable transportation for local travel in and around McDonough, GA
